SABI SAND 21-27 OCTOBER 2018
OUR PHOTOGRAPHIC SAFARI STYLE
Our photographic safaris always focus on tracking wildlife, according to the experience of our guides and of the wildlife photographer who will host the group. To maximize the photographic aspects, there will never be more than two people in each row of the car, which will always be reserved for our small group. Our vehicle will always be positioned in the best way possible, thinking both about composition and light, to allow you to have great shots. We will look for interesting scenes and stick to them as long as possible, in order to make the most out of every possible interaction.
ABOUT THIS WEEK
Seven days of photographic safari in Sabi Sand, the most popular Wildlife Game Reserve in South Africa. If you have never managed to photograph a leopard, this is the trip for you!
Two long game drives every day, one in the early morning and one in the late afternoon in order to take advantage of the best light of the day. For those who wish there will be the possibility to carry out walking safaris, for an exciting walk in close contact with wild animals. Sessions of image post processing with Lightroom will be held every day, to help you editing your images and make them look fabulous in a few steps.
We will stay overnight at Notten’s Bush Camp, the only lodge in Sabi Sand offering the opportunity to have a private vehicle, with which we can move within the reserve, and we can stay on the most interesting scenes for as long as we want.
Join one of our photographers and go leopard photo-hunting!

THE BEST PLACE IN THE WORLD FOR LEOPARDS ENCOUNTERS
OUR PHOTOGRAPHIC TARGETS
There are no artificial barriers between Sabi Sand and the adjacent Kruger National Park, animals can roam freely through an immense territory and this provides guests with several different sightings and a unique bio diversity. The area offers the opportunity to meet all the Big Five (rhino, leopard, lion, buffalo, elephant), a variety of antelopes, all the little predators, over 300 species of birds and many species of reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates. Sabi Sand owes its fame to the high concentration of leopards and the relative ease of their sightings. In Sabi Sand these reclusive and elusive predators are usually very relaxed, allowing us to get up close and personal. It’s not so rare to see a couple of leopards a day. A good number of lions are also present in this area, and they are so beautiful and fit to have earned their own Facebook page (search styx.lions). If we’re lucky, we could even meet the rare wild dogs, so dramatically close to extinction, which frequently cross the reserve chasing their preys. Do not forget your tripod at home, we can do some night photography session! And bring your laptop (possibly with Lightroom installed) for some editing sessions.
Our lodge is a small gem with only 8 rooms, strategically located in one of the most beautiful areas of the reserve. Forget the glitzy luxury lodges of South Africa, here everything is designed to have the least possible impact on the surrounding nature: by choice no electric light is used at night, hundreds of candles will illuminate our dinners and will create a memorable atmosphere, but you will find electrical facilities in your rooms, in order to recharge the batteries of your cameras. There will be comforts in order to make your stay more enjoyable, such as the possibility of a wifi area and the possibility to book a relaxing massage ( at an extra cost).
